Eligibility for B. Tech course: The candidate must have appear in JEE Exam, and have acquired at least 60% (55% for SC/ ST) marks  in aggregate in 10+2 level examination or equivalent with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Eligibility for B. Tech+ M. tech: The candidate must pass 10+2 level of examination from any of the recognised board in general or vocational stream of West Bengal Council of Higher Education with the subjects English, Physics, and (Chemistry/ Biology/ Bio Technique/ technical Vocational subject).

• Signed MoU with Hiroshima University and Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Queensland Government, Australia through the Safety in Mines, Testing and Research Station (SIMTARS)
• Research Collaborations both at National and International level, Yokohama National University, Japan; Kyoto University, Ocean Sciences Group, Jadavpur University, Kolkata are some of them
• Research Centre in the Institute conducts research in various areas like Dynamical systems, Stability and bifurcation theory, Population dynamics also published many journals
