BTech

Admissions to BTech degree are based on a valid score in JEE Main followed by JoSAA counselling.

MTech

Admissions to MTech degree admissions are based on a valid GATE score followed by CCMT counselling.

MSc

For MSc, candidates have to apply through CCMN counselling with a valid JAM score. The remaining seats are allocated on the basis of Institute Admission Test (IAT) setup by the Institute.

Ph.D.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline and selection will be based on the written examination and/or interview conducted by the institution. 

• It regularly organizes Guest Lectures, Workshops and Seminars for it students related to academic and placement topics
• It has academic collaboration with TU Dresden and Univ of Bremen, Germany, for student exchange and IIT Guwahati and IIT Kharagpur for academic pursuits like campus drives, Research and Development
• PARAM Kanchenjunga Supercomputing Centre at NIT Sikkim with a peak computing power of 1 5 Teraflops and is the most powerful machine in the entire North East and among all the NITs in India
• It has been selected for the third phase of the World Bank assisted Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP)-III
• More than 400 National and International Journals have been published by the faculties of NIT Sikkim
• Currently 6 projects are going on in NIT Sikkim which are sponsored by DST, C-DAC, DietY & DST-SERB
