DSCE is an autonomous institute established in 1978 and is approved by AICTE, Govt. of India and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. In total, this university has 20 research centres, 15 bachelor's courses and 13 master's courses. The istitute has a mission to be a centre of excellence in education, research & training and to produce citizens with exceptional leadership qualities. It has well-equipped labs, research centers, workshops and libraries which help in attaining highest standards in academics, research and professional excellence. Admissions

BTech

Admission is done through the rank obtained in entrance test COMEDK & JEE Main followed by a counselling process. The college also accepts BE lateral entry admission.

MTech

Candidates with valid GATE score are given first preference for the seat selection in the counseling process. Selection is also done through the entrance test conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).

Ph.D/MSc

Admission are through ULRAT (Visvesvaraya Technological University University Level Research Aptitude Test) and an interview conducted by VTU for affiliated research centers.

The Institute also provide courses in BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA, and various diploma courses.
