NIT Patna - National Institute of Technology

The National Institute of Technology Patna (abbreviated NIT Patna or NITP), formerly Bihar College of Engineering is one of the 18 NITs established by MHRD, Government of India in 2004. It is a public engineering institution located in Patna in the Indian state of Bihar and an autonomous institute functioning directly under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology and was granted Institute of National Importance status in accordance with the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007.
