ANU - Acharya Nagarjuna University

Acharya Nagarjuna University mostly known as ANU was inaugurated on 11th September 1976 by the then President of India, Sri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed. With the progression of the last 30 years, the University has triumphantly succeeded most of the opening problems and is moving ahead with zeal and hope. Acharya Nagarjuna University is one of the best Universities in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The university has a campus of 300 acres of land along the National Highway between Vijayawada and Guntur. The university is the outgrowth initiative of the post-graduate centre of Andhra University, which was established in 1967 in the Nallapadu area of Guntur, subsequently relocated to the Nambur/Kaza area in the east of the city. The university put focus on encouraging a desire for higher learning and research in the students.
