HNBGU - Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University

Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (formerly known as Garhwal University) is a Central University located in Srinagar town in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand state in northern India. It was established in 1973 and the University has been upgraded to the position of a Central University under the Central Universities Act 2009. It is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited with grade ‘A’ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). HNBGU has its headquarters in Srinagar (Garhwal) along with three other campuses namely Chauras, Pauri and Tehri. The University offers a plethora of courses at UG and PG level. Few areas of the subjects hold a doctoral level degree.

BTech

Candidates are required to clear JEE Main or JNU CEEB with a valid score for securing admission to this course.

MBA

Admission is based on the qualifying exams such as CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT.

B.Ed, B.P.Ed, BBA, BCom, BSc, LLB, BA, BCA and BPharm

Admission to these UG courses is done on the qualifying exams and based on merit.

There is also a UG diploma course in Advertising, Sales Promotion and Sales Management, which is of one year.

LLM, MSc, MA, M.Ed, MPharm, MCom and PG Diploma

Candidates are offered admission to these PG courses basis their scores in the entrance exam conducted by the University.

MPhil

Admission to this doctoral-level course is offered to students on the basis of their score in the University-conducted entrance test, followed by a Counselling Session.
