Dr. M.G.R. Engineering College was founded in 1988 and the college acquired Deemed University status in 2003 as per the orders of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi and the Union Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India, New Delhi. It is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade, approved by NBA and is an ISO Certified Institution. The Institute has 876+ teachers, 11,300+ students, 2,458+ research and 44+ awards and has 14 departments. The college wants to be a centre of Excellence for Quality Education and Research in the fields of Engineering Technology, Dentistry, Medicine, Science & Humanities. It aims to impart technological competence and inculcate discipline, dignity, and humaneness to all the students.

BTech

Candidate must appear for JEE Mains and admission is based on the rank followed by the counselling process.

B.Sc., BPT, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Ed

Admission to all the UG courses except BDS at MGRERU are done through the entrance test conducted by the University itself for preparation of the merit list for different courses.

BDS

The candidates need to clear NEET exam with minimum cutoff marks for BDS admission.

MTech

Candidates must have a valid GATE scores.

M.Arch., MBA, MBA (Part-Time), MCA, MCA (Part-Time), MDS, MPT, M.Sc., MS (By Research)

The eligible candidates need to sit for an entrance test conducted by the University in order to get selected for the desired course.
